LOS ANGELES BRAZILIAN FILM FESTIVAL

The Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival (LABRFF) announces the West Coast Premiere screening of "THE MAGNATE", directed by Johnny Araujo, written by Chorao, from Charlie Brown Jr., and starring Paulo Vilhena, at The Landmark Theatre, 10850 W. Pico Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90064, on July 31st, at 7:30 PM.
On the red carpet Bob Burnquist, Lincon Ueda, Sandro Mineiro, Chorao, Paulinho Vilena and other brazilian star will be attending to the screening.

SUPER GIRL JAM - JULY 08 - photos Ana Paula Negrao

On July 25th, 26th and 27th the second annual Super Girl Jam was hosted in Huntington Beach, bringing the most talented girl skateboarders, surfers, inline skaters and snowboarders to a big girls board festival.





Sticking with the skateboarding competition...
The street course were set up on the sand beach and the girls were skating under the hot sun having a lot of fun.







The S3 Supergirl Jam is produced by ASA Entertainment, a leader in action sports event and television production, whose properties include the LG Action Sports World Championships. Its events are broadcast nationally on a host of networks - CBS, Spike, VERSUS and Fuel TV. ASA's 2008 S3 Supergirl Jam including the Supergirl Junior Pro will air as part of a 60-minute program on both network and cable television, with live streaming taking place on Go211.com. Evelien Bouliart was skating amazing and got 3rd place with backside blunt slide, feeble grind on the rail, wining 1,000.00 from the best trick with a f/s bluntslide.
Rachel Reinhard got 2nd with b/s flip, lipslides taking about 2,000 dollars home
Lauren Perkins took home 5,000 dollars with a solid run.

Karen Jones took the most amount of the money by winning the best trick and taking second place on the Soul Bowl Jam.
Mimi Knoop took the first place on the Soul Bowl Jam. It is great to see that the number of women vert competitor has increase on the past couple years. Alisha is the youngest and cutest one placing well in a competition that has stars as CB, Lynz Adams, Mimi... the 12 year old Alisha is just rising.
